RYA - Onboard Discovery Day - training for local instructors

An RYA led day for onboard clubs to gain some new ideas of how to not only bring more juniors and families to your club and for your instructional team to gain a better understanding of how to better utilise the onboard resources and share ideas of how to deliver better sessions that ember kids and parents in our clubs. We will split the day into two parts:

Growing your OB program

Who should attend: chief instructors, Principals, management

Content:

• How to get more juniors and families into our clubs & centres.
• Guest speaker offering expertise around youth development and how to get more schools/youth organisations bought into OB.
• information regarding Swimsafe

&

OB instructor Development

Who should attend: instructors of every level from assistants to senior instructors and volunteers that are involved in the clubs OB program

Content:

• Effective use of the OB teaching resources
• Session planning and delivery
• developing safe and robust OB sessions

Resources required: OB resources pack for all RTC in attendance, whistles
