The training dates for RYA courses (dinghy and powerboat) are now on our website and available to book.

For adults wishing to learn sailing in dinghies, the Club offers two courses which enable you to progress quickly from beginner to confident sailor in a controlled, safe and enjoyable environment. Both are RYA Accredited Courses comprised of two days instruction for each level, usually over two individual weekends. The dates available in 2024 are;

13 & 20th April 2024 - RYA Training : RYA Level 1 course (April 2024)

4 & 11th May 2024 - RYA Training : RYA Level 1 or 2 course (May 2024)

15 & 22nd June 2024 - RYA Training : RYA Level 1 or 2 Course (June 2024)

The RYA Power Boat Level 2 is the most popular powerboat training course and the two days over which it is run gives plenty of time for both practical instruction and theory. Powerboat level 2 course aim is to teach powerboat handling and seamanship in powerboats. The course costs £90 to MYC members, and upon completion of the course you will be able to use all three club safety boats. The dates available in 2024 are;

17 & 18th May 2024 - PB2 Course (May 2024)
