Learn to Sail This Summer with Margate Yacht Club RYA Level 1 & 2 Courses Now Open
Margate Yacht Club is excited to announce two RYA accredited sailing courses running this summer, offering the perfect opportunity for beginners and developing sailors to build confidence on the water.
Whether you're completely new to sailing or ready to take the next step, our friendly and experienced RYA instructors will guide you through practical, hands-on training in a safe and supportive environment.
RYA Level 1 Start Sailing
27th & 28th June 2026
The Level 1 course is ideal for complete beginners. Over two days, you'll learn the fundamentals of dinghy sailing, including basic boat handling, sailing techniques, and essential safety skills. No previous experience is required.
RYA Level 2 Basic Skills
25th & 26th July 2026
Level 2 is the next step for sailors who have completed Level 1 or already have some basic experience. This course focuses on improving technique, building independence, and developing the skills needed to sail confidently without an instructor onboard.
